A lack of social skills can lead to behavior problems at school, inattention, peer rejection, emotional challenges, bullying, difficulty making friends, aggression, interpersonal problems, isolation from peers, and depression. To prevent the negative side effects of poor social skills, Bright Balloons uses a social skills curriculum to help autistic children develop the skills to make friends and participate in society, including skills such as joint attention, playfulness, communication and social understanding. aim to prevent these negative side effects of poor social skills and equip children with autism with the skills to make friends and participate in society.
